November works in crummy District 5. November is a girl who keeps to herself. She has a small group of friends she hangs out with at the factories. November has a boyfriend, Sebastian. She loves to read spell books that she uncovered from the ground one day. thinking one day, a spell she makes will come true. November has become pretty deadly with knives as she sneaks off with some from the factories and practices with them in case she were to get reaped.

November got changed into her outfit for the reaping. She was nervous, but was trying to remain calm. She went down to the square and looked around. She saw a couple friends from school and smiled softly. Then November heard her name called. She looked around her, not knowing how to react or what to do. She eventually walked up and stood in front of District 5. She saw her boyfriend, who immediately broke down in tears, as she was standing in front of the district.
