Nico is a very quiet kid. He tries not to stand out from the crowd. His family is… well, he’s at least lucky enough to have both of his parents, and that’s much more than most kids in his district could say. He started working at 15 years old, and always asks for tesserae. It’s a miracle he hasn’t been chosen yet.

Reaped
I couldn’t sleep the night before the reaping. I knew I had to start moving or else I’d blow. I wrote a letter to my parents, gave them a little kiss, and went to train behind the factory. I almost forgot about the reaping. I went home, changed quickly, and went to the square. I saw my parents crying, and the Capitol woman looking at me angrily.
“Young man!” She boomed, “I believe you are Nico Biancchi. You’re late! We almost sent the peacekeepers to find you. You’re going to be the male tribute who represents your district.”
